It was back in July that we reported on the Tarzan slot from Microgaming, covering details of its impending release [read more here].
Today we finally got to spin the reels and first impressions when you open the slot are good; it’s colourful and certainly themed well for the name.
We played the game at 32Red Casino and on the reels we can see Jane, Archimedes, Tarzan himself, the game logo, a selection of fruit and a leopard to name just of the symbols.
There are five reels and 40 paylines in the game and features that include stacked wilds, a bonus wheel, Pick-A-Potamus bonus and of course, free spins.
Tarzan Slot Bonus Wheel
The scatter symbol / bonus looks very much like a ‘cheese’ from Trivial Pursuit and if you manage to spin three or more in on the reels, you get to spin it.
Additionally you are awarded a bonus when you spin in the scatter / bonus.
- Three of them will see you given between 3 and 6x your stake.
- Four of them will see you awarded between 6 and 12 times your stake.
- Five of them and you will receive between 9 and 18 times your stake.
These also determine the jackpot amount if you should land on that segment on the bonus wheel; 3 is 200x, 4 is 400x and 5 is 1,000x your original stake.
Click spin and you will win one of the following:
- A multiple of your bet (this varies from wheel to wheel)
- Free Spins
- Bonus Round
We activated the bonus nine times with our £50 deposit and spun in
- 1x multiplier of 4x
- 2x multiplier of 6x
- 6x free spins
When in free spin mode, you are awarded 12 spins. Winning symbols payout and are then removed creating more winning potential.
This is not the case for the stackable wilds, if they are part of a winning combination but not all are used, only the used stacked wilds are taken from the screen.
When this bonus round is activated, you have to do exactly what the name says, pick a hippopotamus.
You will get to choose up to 12 of them but the minimum is two that are guaranteed. When you click a hippo, a cash prize is revealed.
Reveal a ‘Pop’ and the feature is over.
