Sportingbet to go Social

6 Jan 2013

Despite currently being the subject of a takeover bid, Sportingbet is looking to the future with an agreement to work with social game developers Plumbee.

Sportingbet, the well-known e-gaming operator, has joined up with the social gaming developer to facilitate their entry into the real-money gaming on social networks field.

The companies have joined together to create a new venture with the name Bonza Gaming. The new brand plans to combine the social gaming experience offered by Plumbee with the gambling platform used by Sportingbet. This combination of experts in both fields brings a wealth of knowledge to the table and the head of the venture, Rick Brownlow, has told sources that the two companies combined strengths should allow them to explore a completely ‘new way of gambling online’ and through mobile platforms.

Plumbee was founded in July 2011 and describes their mission to ‘become the leader in social, free-to-play casino games’ but this has obviously developed into a new aim with the launch of Bonza, creating a further real-money outlet for their talents.

Bonza Gaming plans to offer poker, bingo and casino games and they are planning to create a completely new product separate from both the current workings of Sportingbet and Plumbee. It looks to be an exciting new venture for the New Year and it will be interesting to see if there is success ahead for the new brand.
