Mobile 3D slots arrive at casinos

11 Jun 2013

The evolution of slots has been a slow but steady process. Over the years slots have grown beyond recognition.

We’ve gone from Charles Fey’s Liberty Bells slot machine through to Vegas classics such as Cleopatra and now on to online slots like The Dark Knight and Thunderstruck II.

But the latest step in the evolution of slots has come in the form of the mobile 3D slots that are being created by Sheriff Gaming. For the first time ever, the Amsterdam-based software company has released their 3D slots in HTML5 which means that they can be played in mobile casinos.

The mobile 3D slots now available are The Amsterdam Masterplan and Spartania with many more set for release in the near future. Sheriff Gaming’s spokesman Eric Roskamp revealed that this year alone the company was aiming to release “10 – 15 slot games and 5 table games that operators can promotion via mobile and PC”.

Sheriff Gaming have taken the design of their slots so seriously that you could easily be forgiven for mistaking them for a game that you’d expect to see on an Xbox or Playstation.

To give you an idea of just how impressive the graphics are, take a look at the characters in the image at the top of this article – all of which are included across Sheriff Gaming’s 3D slots range.

We’ve had a quick play and can say that they look pretty special. This is a significant landmark for slots as technology continues to make the use of 3D slots even more accessible. Sheriff Gaming slots can be found at some Microgaming casinos and bet365 Casino.
