William Hill customers with Android mobile phones and tablet devices now have an easier way of accessing the brand’s sportsbook offering on the move.
The bookmaker launched the Android app in March 2014, following the success of their iPhone application, which has been downloaded more than 1.5 million times to-date.
Juergen Ruttter is Hill’s online operations director, and he says the latest Android app launch “is a significant and important milestone” in the company’s goals.
Last year, sportsbook revenue generated by mobile customers contributed 39% towards profits and, as Juergen Rutter points out, as Android devices are “now the biggest selling operation in Britain”, giving the mobile/tablet community the ability to enjoy Hill’s sportsbook on-the-go should benefit both the company and its customers.
The new William Hill Sports App is available on mobile and tablet devices using v2.36 or higher. It allows punters to bet from anywhere using their existing online account and gives access to Hill’s full range of in-play betting, as well as live streams of horse-racing events. Users can also register for a new account, make secure deposits and withdrawals, bet on all markets, and access exclusive mobile offers via the new app, which has a 60-second load time.
