Five Casino Operators Join Senet Group

The Senet Group was founded in September 2014 by four of the UK’s leading gambling companies; William Hill, Coral, Ladbrokes (GVC Holdings) and Paddy Power.

Skybet and Scotbet joined not much after the launch of the group. All are funding partners of the group, a group that is responsible for the tagline “When the fun stops, stop”. It’s this that is shown at the end of many commercials for online gambling companies now.

It was created to raised the standards in the gambling industry and support the work of the Gambling Commission to create a safer, fairer platform for customers.

The news recently is that five of the largest casino operators in the UK have joined the Senet Group too.

The five companies are Caesars, Genting, Playtech, Aspers and Rank Group and they will assist in helping to promote responsible gambling and further ensure that any marketing of gambling products is socially responsible.

The new additions will join the founders in a quarterly CEO forum that offers advice to the group’s Board and the independent chairman.

Senet Group Comment

The chief executive of the Senet Group, Sarah Hanratty, commented on the collaboration saying

With a great many initiatives and projects underway across the gambling industry, aimed at understanding and reducing problem gambling, the sector needs to improve its ability to collaborate on the development, testing and sharing of interventions which work.

Senet is doing its part in leading and facilitating collaborative projects, and I am delighted that our new partners have chosen to recognise the importance of collective leadership on safer gambling.

The group is also responsible for the group MOSES (Multi Operator Self Exclusion Scheme).
