Indian man pays gambling debt with daughter
A man in India has tried to pay off a gambling debt of Rs 30,000 (£387) by offering his under-age daughter in marriage to the 30 year-old son of the man he lost to.
Dil Bahadur Mahara of Kafallekhi-8 agreed to marry off his nine year old daughter to settle the gambling debt with the unnamed man. The name of the son has also not been revealed.
A team of police officers have been sent to the village to investigate the case.
It is not the first time something like this has happened in India. Last year, a man lost his daughter in a game of poker.
