Native Tribal Nations will gather in Oklahoma next week for the first ever Oklahoma Tribes and GEObet iGaming Conference.
The conference will be the first ever online gambling event set up specifically for Native Tribal Nations and will take place at the Cherokee Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The purpose of the conference will be to provide advice and insight into how the Tribes can achieve success in online gambling.
Despite their large presence in the US land-based casino landscape, Native Tribal Nations have so far failed to make an impact reflective of their bricks and mortar operations.
Northern Bear Casino was the first tribal casino to launch an online product in November and a speech by its CEO Bernard Shepherd will serve as the main event of the conference.
Given Native Tribal Nations’ unique position within the gambling industry, their presence in the online sector appears to be a natural progression but they will face strong competition from casino corporations and iGaming companies that have been waiting for some time to operate in the online US space.
GEObet have been the driving force behind the organisation of this conference and will be attempting to convey the numerous benefits of extending casino brands online. Founder Gerry Gionet urged tribes from across the United States to come along in order to see what they’ve been missing out on so far.
