The bwin.party group will soon have a single CEO in the form of current co-CEO Norbert Teufelberger, following the announcement that Jim Ryan will stand down as fellow co-CEO in the new year.
Mr Ryan is due to leave the group on January 15th 2013, in order to return to his home country of Canada with his family.
He has lived in Gibraltar for the past six years, and served in several gaming-related positions in that time.
On his arrival, he first took the role of CEO of St Minver, before joining PartyGaming, again as CEO, in June 2008.
He has been a driving force behind the merger of PartyGaming with bwin Interactive Entertainment – the process that created bwin.party – and describes the co-CEO role as “my dream job”.
Mr Teufelberger praised Mr Ryan as “an excellent business partner” and expressed his pleasure at having worked alongside him – both as a colleague and as a friend.
Meanwhile, bwin.party’s non-executive chairman Simon Duffy added that the merger of the two companies is now nearing completion.
He added that Mr Teufelberger, whose knowledge of the gaming industry “is probably unrivalled”, will now lead the process through its final remaining stages.
