Slots Heaven Complaint Upheld By ASA

Slots Heaven - ASA A Bit Of Hell From The ASA

There are so many online casinos available on the Internet today that it never surprises us when a site we have never heard of comes to our attention.

On Wednesday 18th May the Advertising Standards Authority released the outcome of an investigation of one complaint they had received about Slots Heaven, a Mansion Europe Holdings Ltd brand.

The complaint was about the welcome bonus and how it was advertised on their own site in September 2015.

A player had wagered £10 on slots only to be informed that there was a maximum £5 bet limit on any slots and poker games which led him to challenge if the advert for the offer was misleading.

The page on which the text appeared was titled ‘Welcome Bonus’ and is reported to have included the following text:

Your divine Welcome Bonus is ready and waiting for you!

We’ll triple your money, so you can have triple the fun in the casino! Get a massive 200% up to $/£/€400 on your first deposit to play on our heavenly array of games.

All games count towards the wagering requirements, so whether you prefer slots or classic casino games such as blackjack and roulette, there is something for everyone.

In addition, by clicking on the section "Welcome Bonus Terms & Conditions" below the text you were shown the terms and conditions of the welcome bonus and a link to the General Promotions Terms and Conditions page.

CAP Codes Breached By Slots Heaven

Three CAP Codes were breached by Slots Heaven (3.1, 8.17 and 8.17.1) despite their response stating that the limited bets were in place to deter bonus abuse.

Slots Heaven went on to defend the exclusion of the terms as being insignificant to the offer and stating that no other operators included the terms in the manner suggested by the ASA.

The ASA, whilst accepting that the two terms shown below were shown as part of the General Promotion terms, they were not included in the Welcome Bonus terms and should have been. Their exclusion meant the ad was misleading.

For this reason the advert must not appear again in the form about which the complaint was received.

The full adjudication can be read here.
