If you are of a certain age then the chances are you will remember the original Halloween films starring Jamie Lee Curtis. Michael Myers is the name behind the mask and he’s set to be seen at online casino near you soon!
Microgaming recently signed a licensing agreement with Compass International Pictures. They have been given the go ahead by the subsidiary company of Trancas International Films to create a slot based on the film that was first released in 1978!
The film was made on a budget of just $300,000 but has earned a whopping $70 million! Joe Carpenter directed it, and the most famous of faces in the film was that of Jamie Lee Curtis who played Laurie Strode.
She continued to play the role until 2002. In 2007, Scout Taylor Compton played the role.
The storyline is of Michael Myers, a six year old who murders his 17-year-old sister. He was sent to prison for 15 years but escaped when being transferred to court. He then heads back to his hometown and starts looking for his next victim with Laurie Strode and her friends targeted.
The next Halloween film is set for release in October this year, could this be when the new slot from Microgaming is launched too?
Having played the most recent launch from Microgaming, Jurassic World, we are sure that the new Halloween slot will be a perfect homage to the film.
Of course we’re going to see Michael Myers on the reels, but will it be the new or old Laurie Strode we see? According to various sources online, it’s set to be Jamie Lee Curtis who features and the original soundtrack!
Microgaming have been expressing their enthusiasm about developing the slot for the iconic film and have suggested that all the elements of the original film will be included.
