On 10th June 2016 the UEFA Euro2016 kicks off in France with a match between the hosts and Romania.
Three weeks prior to that match, NetEnt are expected to launch their Football Champions Cup slot game.
The official footage for the new slot from this giant amongst developers was released earlier in the week and if you’re a football fanatic, it’s bound to have some appeal.
Releasing footage of the game several weeks in advance of the actual game launch is standard from the NetEnt camp, giving players and casino journalists a sneak peak of what to expect.
It’s the first football themed slot from the NetEnt camp but we’re presuming, if it’s a hit with casino players, it’s unlikely to be the last.
Here’s the clip taken directly from the NetEnt YouTube account:
As you can see, when the game starts the bonuses offered are displayed before you get to choose the team you are playing as. There are subtle differences in the game dependent on the team you opt to play as.
Unsurprisingly, the symbols used for the game all have a football theme and include, boots, goalies gloves, referee’s whistles and of course, footballs.
We love that behind the goal in the bonus round, the advertising boards show other NetEnt games. You can see titles like Gonzo’s Quest and Starburst as you are taking your penalty shots.
During the game, when a football wild lands, these can ‘bounce’ and add more wilds on the reels.
When in this bonus round, you simply have to pick one of four corners as the place to take your shot. The more goals that aren’t saved, the better your financial reward.
During the free spins round your team is allocated a ball colour; your opponent has a different colour. The balls are the wild symbols
You will progress through the stages of the tournament if you beat the opposing team by scoring seven goals and each wild is worth one goal.
It certainly looks like an interesting game, a definite ’must-play’ if you are a fan of football, and even if you’re not, the winning potential with the wild symbols, bonus rounds and free spins makes it worth a spin or two.
You’ll be able to find this slot at a selection of casinos that offer NetEnt games but we would recommend you try Mr. Green.
