DoubleDown Casino has been one of the many success stories at International Game Technology (IGT) so far this year.
IGT is one of the most popular developers of slot games and have recently announced a 50% dividend increase. On 4th June 2013, the company’s board of directors reported the increase compared to the dividend paid in the same quarter in 2012, and the cash dividend now stands at $0.09 per share.
IGT’s Chief Executive Officer, Patti Part, told reporters that the news is a “clear signal that [the company’s] strategy is driving strong financial performance,” and that they remain committed to “returning capital to [their] shareholders.”
IGT has not only had great success since acquiring DoubleDown Casino, but has also been busily releasing a volley of new slots this year. These include Family Guy, Judge Judy, Dolly Parton, CSI, and Wyland, although IGT’s rivals – Microgaming – have been equally productive with popular 2013 releases such as Dr. Watts Up, Bust the Bank, and Girls with Guns, which can be played at sites such as 32Red and Ladbrokes which use the Microgaming platform.
Earlier this week, International Game Technology gained another major partner in the form of Betsson (a leading Maltese operator), through which it will offer players the opportunity to play both online and mobile slots via a remote game server.
