The UK’s largest bookmaker and owner of some of the most popular online betting, bingo and casino sites, William Hill, has taken another step towards expanding their mobile audience this week.
The company has added all of its 2,390 high street stores to the NearMe mobile app, in an aim to drive footfall and provide information, to gamblers on the move about its betting shops.
William Hill’s Head of Marketing, Fiona Stevenson, reinforced the company’s focus on making themselves a “strong, multi-channel business,” and said that their use of the NearMe service will help “provide invaluable information” to their existing customers as well as attract “new mobile-savvy clients.”
The location-based mobile application can be found on the Apple iStore, for iPhones and iPads and customers using the service will be presented with the six nearest William Hill branches, to their current location. Details that can be accessed include the distance to each shop, the full address and telephone number of the branch and links to the company’s website. It is also expected that the new collaboration will allow special coupons to be offered, to prospective customers, enabling them to claim offers to bet on sporting events such as the Champions League and FA Cup.
