Trump targets online casino
Donald Trump , the multi-millionaire entrepreneur, has got together a group of investors with the plan of launching an online casino, should the US open its doors once more to online gaming.
It’s a signal that Trump believes that the US will soon go down the route of regulation rather than prohibition; that said, he is still yet to be 100% convinced.
“This has to happen because many other countries are doing it and like usual the U.S. is just missing out,” said Trump.
“It seems inevitable, but with this country you never know if it’s inevitable.”
Trump, who already owns various land-based casinos, is to be joined in the proposed venture by his daughter Ivanka and Marc Lasry, billionaire owner of the hedge fund company Avenue Capital.
And in typical Trump fashion, he is very brazen about his prospects of succeeding in the venture.
“We have the hottest brand in the world according to many and we think we will do extremely well because of the Trump brand.”
