Ladbrokes Start Well in South Africa
After entering the South African market with local partner Kairo International Group just a few months ago, Ladbrokes is seeing positive results coming back, buoyed by betting on the recent Rugby World Cup.
Even though it’s still early days for their South African website (www.ladbrokes.co.za), the figures look promising; there was a 50% increase in registered users from august to September, plus a 25% increase in turnover and a 40% increase in the number of bets placed for the same period.
Anli Kotze, marketing manager at Ladbrokes, puts the quick-fire success down to Ladbrokes’ solid reputation and spread of payment options.
“Customers have been quick to take up Ladbrokes’ different payment options. With the eGaming experience Ladbrokes has, betting on Ladbrokes.co.za is extremely safe and secure. Payment methods include: bank transfers, credit cards, Ukash vouchers and via Moneybookers.”
Kotze went on to add that she anticipates the value of the South African sports betting market to grow from R660m to R800m over the next two years.
