It seems that the build up to Christmas begins earlier every year. Now, at the end of September,there are already festive things taking place all over. From advent calendars appearing in stores to people counting down from ‘15 weeks to go until Christmas’, it appears as if the madness has already begun for this year.

Even online gambling hasn’t managed to escape the fuss, as Paddy Power is already offering a large number of Christmas Specials. More than ten Xmas themed markets are being offered by the Irish bookmaker so we’ve taken a look and picked out some of the weird and wonderful bets on offer at the moment.

There are the more traditional markets such as the Number 1 song, number 1 DVD and the top selling toy. There are also, of course, a number of markets regarding the weather on Christmas day, with bettors being able to receive odds of 100/1 for Big Ben to stop due to frost on Christmas Day or for the River Thames to freeze over and people to ice skate on it on Christmas Day.

For the big kids around, the top selling toy market is full of things we’ve never heard of, but The Fijit is favourite at 5/2 ahead of Optimus Prime and Kidizoom Twist Camera, which are both priced at 3/1.

With all of these markets being offered already, there’s sure to be plenty more on the way in the run up to the special day.
