Well, it’s that time again, you know, when everyone scraps and fights for the chance to host the World Cup. In 2010, FIFA will be announcing who will be lucky enough to hold the 2018 World Cup, but that hasn’t stopped Paddy Power, who always seem to be first in both football and novelty odds, announcing who they reckon will host the 2018 world cup. Russia - 4-1

USA - 5-1

Spain & Portugal - 6-1

Australia - 8-1

Belgium & Holland - 12-1

Mexico - 12-1

Japan 14-1

Qatar - 16-1

The Korean Republic - 25-1

England appear to be the early favourites and seeing as London’s already managed to nab the 2012 Olympics, maybe hosting the 2018 football World Cup isn’t such a far-flung thought.
