It’s that time of year again, no, not the month when British folk are at their most depressed, it’s actually time for the Brit Awards nominations. While the award ceremony isn’t until February the 19th, when it will be hosted by Kylie Minogue, James Corden and Matthew Horne, bookies are already anticipating who will take home the most gongs and who will win what. By the looks of it, Welsh songstress Duffy and Coldplay are the top contenders, as both have been nominated 4 times respectively, but let’s take a look at who Paddy Power think will be taking home those Britannia themed-gongs.

For Best British Male Solo Artist, the odds are as follows:

James Morrison - evens

Will Young - 2-1

Paul Weller - 9-2

The Streets - 10-1

Ian Brown - 10-1

For Best Female Solo Artist, the odds are just as tight:

Duffy - 5-4

Adele - 2-1

Estelle - 3-1

M.I.A - 8-1

Beth Rowley 14-1

For Best Group, the odds seem to be in Coldplay’s favour, although there’s very little separating them and Take That:

Coldplay - 6-5

Take That - 6-4

Girls Aloud - 6-1

Elbow - 8-1

Radiohead - 10-1

Now, moving on to the main bet on offer over at Paddy Power; who will win the most Brits:

Coldplay - 1-2

Duffy - 6-4.

Obviously, bets are void if both Duffy and Coldplay score 4 gongs each, but Paddy Power seem to think at least one of these two acts will go away with quite a few Brit awards. If you’re thinking of taking a chance and betting on the Brit awards, then we reckon you should definitely bear this in mind.
