While the bookies might have got it wrong about the next Doctor Who (it is after all, Matt Smith, not Patterson Joseph who had top odds), we reckon their odds on the next Doctor Who assistant, aren’t as, well, off. While the next Doctor’s assistant won’t won’t be appearing until 2010, we reckon the bookies might be slightly closer to guessing correctly this time around, seeing as filming for the new Doctor who series, starring Matt Smith, begins summer this year. Russell Brand is perhaps the only celebrity listed who has featured in the odds for both the next Doctor Who and the next Doctor Who assistant, however, if the earlier odds were anything to go by, we reckon you should keep an open mind with this one.
